The Duellists (1977), directed by Ridley Scott, about two hussars who fight duels from the 1790's to 1815.
Waterloo (1970), the masterpiece directed by Sergei Bondarchuk, produced by Dino de Laurentiis, and starred in by Rod Steiger as Napoleon and Christopher Plummer as Wellington. Also available, at this writing, on Youtube.
